Gluecom Deutschland History
Gluecom Deutschland emerged from the acquisition of the PLAKAL product group from Fritz Häcker, a German adhesive manufacturer with over 125 years of history in protein adhesive technology. Fritz Häcker produced PLAKAL brand jelly glues in German factories.
Gluecom acquired the PLAKAL product group from Fritz Häcker at the end of 2022 and brought together two leading jelly glue manufacturers, creating a global presence in protein adhesive technology.
The operation was reorganised as Gluecom Deutschland, expanding from PLAKAL jelly glue manufacturing to become a commercial operation selling all Gluecom product technologies to the German market, providing comprehensive adhesive solutions backed by European manufacturing capabilities.

Gluecom Deutschland provides the complete Gluecom product portfolio to German industrial markets. Product range includes Demcomelt hotmelts manufactured at Labord, water-based PVA and VAE dispersions from Merckx and Pafra facilities, jelly glues from Demcopack, and specialised formulations across all adhesive technologies.
Technical specialists support German customers with product selection, application guidance, and troubleshooting across packaging, bookbinding, woodworking, converting, and industrial assembly applications.
