Bags & Sacks

Bags and sacks cover an enormous range – food pouches, cement sacks, shopping bags, valve bags for powders. Each has different requirements. Windows in paper sacks need transparent panels bonded neatly. Foil-lined bags need the foil sealed to paper. Multi-wall sacks for cement or flour need seams that won’t split under weight.

Handle attachment, valve mechanisms, laminated structures – they all need different adhesive properties. The common thread is seal integrity. Bags that split open during distribution are useless regardless of what’s in them.

Paper grades vary enormously – grocery bags use 70-100gsm kraft, whilst industrial sacks might be 3-ply 120gsm with reinforcement. The adhesive formulation changes accordingly. Window film needs transparent bonding that doesn’t cloud or yellow. High-speed production can hit 200+ bags per minute, so adhesive needs to set before the next operation without slowing the line.
