Bookbinding adhesives hold the spine together – whether that’s a paperback magazine, hardcover book, or specialist graphic application. The glue needs to flex without cracking and hold pages under pull stress. Perfect binding (used for most paperbacks and magazines) is different from case binding (hardcover books with cloth spines).

Page pull strength matters because nobody wants books falling apart. Spine flexibility matters because books get opened and closed repeatedly. High-speed production lines and traditional hand binding both need reliable adhesives, just applied differently.

Cold and hot application methods suit different operations. Jelly glues offer page pull strength and flex for traditional work. EVA hotmelts handle high-speed perfect binding lines. PUR reactive hotmelts give durability for reference books and technical manuals. Each has trade-offs in cost, speed, and final book quality that suit different binding operations.
