Paper Cups

Paper cups need three critical bonds. Side seams hold the cup shape. Bottom seals prevent leaks. Some cups have handles or lids attached. All of these need to work with both hot and cold liquids.

Double-walled cups, cup sleeves, ripple cups – different constructions, same requirements. Leak-proof seals, high-speed production compatibility, and no taste transfer to beverages. Cup failures mean wasted product and unhappy customers.

PE-coated board needs adhesives that bond to plastic coating, not just paper. High-speed cup forming machines apply adhesive at specific points that must align perfectly as blanks curl into shape. Double-walled cups and ripple wraps involve additional bonding layers.

All formulations need food safety certification.
