End of Line Packaging

End-of-line is where you seal cases, stabilise pallets, apply labels, and erect trays. These are the final steps before products ship, so failures here mean customer complaints, returns, and damaged goods arriving at retailers.

Case sealing needs to hold during transit. Pallet stabilisation prevents loads shifting in lorries. Labels need to stay put through the entire supply chain. Automated lines can’t tolerate adhesive failures without causing expensive downtime.

Case sealers run constantly in warehouses and fulfilment centres. The adhesive goes on moving boxes, needs to grab before flaps spring open, and has to hold through stacking, transport, and temperature changes in lorries and shipping containers. Hotmelts dominate because they set fast without drying time that would slow production.
