Corrugated Packaging

Corrugated adhesives are what hold shipping boxes, display stands, and pizza boxes together. You’re either bonding flutes to liner (making the board itself) or assembling finished boxes – crash lock bottoms, display units, food containers, whatever.

High-speed lines need glue that works consistently regardless of temperature and doesn’t slow down production. For food packaging, you need formulations that meet safety regulations. Heavy-duty shipping cases need stronger adhesives than pizza boxes, but the principle is the same – stick reliably and don’t fail in transit.

Starch-based and PVA adhesives are most often used by corrugate manufacturers. Temperature stability is important so these glues perform the same in winter and summer without adjusting viscosity. Application methods vary – roll coating for corrugator work, spray or bead for box assembly – but they all need quick initial tack and full strength development within reasonable timeframes.
