  • Easy reactivation with minimal moisture application for consistent seal quality
  • Exceptional blocking resistance prevents unwanted adhesion during storage and handling

AQUADEX 4213 offers excellent tray life and consistent performance across varying production conditions, making it a dependable choice for envelope manufacturers.

Product benefits

Reliable Security

The high bond strength creates a secure seal that provides tamper-evident properties, giving end users confidence in the integrity of their mail. Once activated and sealed, the adhesive forms a strong bond that tears the paper substrate rather than releasing cleanly, providing clear visual evidence of any tampering attempts.

Production Efficiency

Fast drying characteristics mean envelopes move through the production line quickly without risk of blocking or offsetting. This allows manufacturers to maintain high throughput speeds whilst minimising downtime for cleaning and maintenance, directly impacting productivity and operational costs.

Consistent Application

The formulation reactivates easily with controlled moisture application, providing consistent seal quality across the entire production run. This reliability reduces waste from failed seals and maintains quality standards that meet customer expectations for professional envelope products.

Product Overview

AQUADEX 4213 is a dextrin-based remoistenable adhesive formulated for envelope flap gumming applications. The adhesive responds well to standard moisture reactivation methods, whether applied by the end user with a sponge or roller, or through automated envelope sealing equipment. Its blocking resistance characteristics make it suitable for both individually produced envelopes and high-volume manufacturing where envelopes are stacked immediately after production. The formulation has been developed to work across different paper substrates commonly used in envelope manufacturing, from standard offset papers through to recycled and speciality stocks.
